The EdCamp movement has been floating around education for past several years, and there are several folks here in Forsyth County, GA, who have had our eye on doing one. Most of us are Instructional Technology Specialists, and as part of our job function, we're called in to assist with professional development. Often, one of the most well-received and effective elements of professional development is when colleagues can simply get together and chat - share lessons and strategies, collaborate on upcoming projects, discuss instructional challenges, etc.
Why not capitalize on that by having our professional development do that the entire time? So we're happy to announce the establishment of the (hopefully 1st annual) EdCamp Forsyth on
Saturday, January 30, 2016
All educators are invited to attend at no charge, and we especially invite educators from outside our district - while it's great to learn from your peers, there's even more to be learned from an outside perspective.
The event is being hosted by Lambert High School, the newest of Forsyth County School's high schools. Thanks for letting us use your campus, guys!
